Tony Rapson joins ACOG as General Aviation Coordinator

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Rapson as our new General Aviation Coordinator.
Tony began his career as a military air traffic controller in the Royal Air Force, working his way up to become the General Manager of the largest military Air Traffic Control Unit in Europe. He then briefly worked in the Ministry of Defence before moving back to the Royal Air Force Air Command Headquarters and achieving the rank of Group Captain.
Since leaving the RAF he has worked in various roles for the CAA and the Department for Transport, being responsible for the delivery of important projects such as the setting up of the CAA’s dedicated General Aviation Unit, delivering the General Aviation Safety Strategy, contributing to the Single European Sky and the UK’s Future Airspace strategy. He joins ACOG as General Aviation Coordinator.
Tony will be involved in the development of the next iteration of the Airspace Change Masterplan, advising on access benefits for different airspace users, including General Aviation.
